Gauge has raised $2.4 million in pre-seed funding to build the growth platform for marketing to AI.
We are backed by world-class investors including YC founder Paul Graham, SerpApi founder Julien Khaleghy, Sourcegraph founder Quinn Slack, Zeus founder Kulveer Taggar, Y Combinator, and a select group of investors who see what we see.
We’re grateful for their conviction in Gauge and the market we’re building for. This funding gives us the runway to assemble an exceptional early team, and bring our ideas into the world faster than ever before.
The next growth channel is AI
For more than two decades, companies have built their marketing strategies around search. For the first time since the creation of the internet, the way we discover information is fundamentally changing.
People are increasingly asking AI what to buy, which tools to use, and how to solve problems. Soon, agents will extend beyond answering these questions. They will research options, compare products, make recommendations, and make purchases on a user’s behalf.
When agents decide, the effective surfaces are invisible today. This black box now dictates the biggest and fastest growing organic channel in history.
We believe agents, and marketing to agents, will become as fundamental to a business as marketing to humans. It will require its own data, workflows, and eventually its own agents.
Building Gauge
Gauge is building the platform companies use to understand and improve how they appear in AI answers. Eventually, this will extend to agent-driven purchases and decisions.
We are starting with visibility into what AI thinks: showing brands where they appear, what AI believes about them, which sources shape those beliefs, and where competitors are winning. The larger opportunity is turning these insights into action. As we collect more data, Gauge will help companies decide what to change, and actually implement those changes for them.
We’re excited to build the systems companies will use to win this new channel.
